Best Foldable Walking Pads: 6 Models Compared for Storage

Last updated: October 2026

Walking Counts may earn a commission when you buy through links on our site, at no additional cost to you. This does not affect how products are evaluated.

"Foldable" covers very different designs. Some walking pads fold their deck in half; some fold their whole frame; some only fold a handrail. This guide compares what actually folds, the folded and unfolded sizes, machine weight and the storage each maker describes, all from manufacturer specifications.

Not All Foldable Walking Pads Fold the Same Way

Folding deck

The walking deck itself folds, cutting its stored length. The WalkingPad Z1, C2 and P1 go from about 56–57 in long to about 32 in.

Double-fold design

WalkingPad's X21 folds "in two simple moves": its upright frame and deck both fold, taking it from 41.4 in to 8.8 in tall and from 55.8 in to 39.6 in long.

Deck folds upward

The Redliro JK14F's deck folds up toward its handrails. That leaves a small 21.7 × 22.8 in floor area, but it stands 47.1 in tall. Redliro doesn't publish storage instructions.

Folding frame

The UREVO Foldi 3S folds its frame and workstation down to 6.5 in tall, but the deck stays 51.6 in long. It lowers height rather than footprint, unlike a thin folding-deck pad.

Folding handrail only

Some machines are sold as foldable because their handrail folds while the deck stays full length. The DeerRun Z10 Pro is an example: DeerRun lists it at 54.41 in long folded in its 2027 spec block and 52.17 in in the comparison table on the same page. That can help it sit under a desk, but it isn't the same storage saving as a deck that folds in half, so it isn't one of our picks. See our DeerRun Z10 Pro review.

Which Walking Pad Is Smallest When Folded?

"Smallest" depends on which measurement matters for your storage spot:

  • Shortest folded length (stored flat): Z1, 31.8 in.
  • Narrowest: C2, 20.4 in.
  • Lowest folded height: P1, 5 in.
  • Smallest folded floor area: JK14F, 21.7 × 22.8 in, but 47.1 in tall.
  • Lowest stored volume: going by the published boxes, the P1 (about 3,500 cubic in) is just ahead of the C2 and Z1 (about 3,600–3,800).

No model wins every measurement, so we don't call one the smallest overall.

Where Can You Store a Foldable Walking Pad?

Under a bed or sofa

WalkingPad describes this for the Z1, C2, P1 (also under a desk) and X21. Measure your clearance against the folded height. UREVO and Redliro don't describe it.

Upright storage

Only WalkingPad's X21 is described as able to stand vertically against a wall. WalkingPad doesn't say this for the C2, Z1 or P1, so don't assume it.

Closet or wall-side storage

Apart from the X21, none of these makers describe standing their machine in a closet or against a wall. A machine that looks as if it could stand on end isn't the same as one the maker says can.

Foldable Walking Pads With Incline

Folding and incline are separate features. If you want a foldable walking pad with incline, the UREVO Foldi 3S lists 0–9% automatic incline across nine levels; the Redliro JK14F has 0–2% manual incline. WalkingPad says the X21 has none and lists none for the C2, Z1 or P1. More options in our best walking pads with incline.

Foldable Walking Pads With Handles

  • Folding deck with a handle: the JK14F's deck folds up toward its fixed long handrails.
  • Whole frame folds: the X21's handrail frame and deck double-fold; the Foldi 3S folds its handlebar frame and desk down.
  • Non-folding deck, folding handle: machines such as the DeerRun Z10 Pro, where only the handrail folds.

Some listings call a machine "4-in-1" or similar. That's marketing wording; none of these six makers use it for these models, so we compare the actual features instead. See walking pads with handles.

We haven't found reliable evidence that folding machines wear out sooner, so we don't claim they do.

Foldable Walking Pad vs Folding Treadmill

The terms overlap. WalkingPad calls the thin, handle-free P1 a "foldable treadmill", while the X21 (handrail, 7.5 mph) and Foldi 3S (handlebar, 7.6 mph, incline) are fuller machines that also fold. As a rough guide, a walking pad is low and handle-free for walking speeds; a folding treadmill adds a handrail and often faster speeds. There's no fixed industry line.

Upright-Storage Pick

WalkingPad X21

Verdict: The only pick whose maker explicitly allows upright storage, and the only WalkingPad here with running speeds.

How it folds
WalkingPad calls it double-fold and says it folds "in two simple moves". It doesn't describe each step, so we don't either.
Folded vs unfolded

Compact Upright-Folding Frame

Redliro JK14F

Verdict: The smallest folded floor area here (21.7 × 22.8 in), traded for a tall folded height.

How it folds
The deck folds up toward the handrails. Redliro publishes the folded size but no step-by-step folding description.
Folded vs unfolded

Storage (per manufacturer)
Redliro publishes no storage instructions. We don't infer a storage position from its shape, and at 47.1 in tall folded it won't go under furniture.
Controls and extras
Handrail shortcut buttons, heart-rate monitor, 3-level manual incline (0%, 1%, 2%).

Strengths

Foldable Incline Option

UREVO Foldi 3S

Verdict: The only pick with automatic incline and a built-in desk, but folding mainly lowers its height, not its footprint.

How it folds
UREVO says the frame and workstation fold down to a 6.5 in height. The deck doesn't fold, so the length stays 51.6 in.
Folded vs unfolded
Height drops from 47.1 in to 6.5 in; length (51.6 in) and width (25.6 in) don't change.

Storage (per manufacturer)
UREVO says rear armrests help with repositioning and that, at 87.5 lb, it suits a main room where it can stay in place and be folded between sessions. No under-furniture or upright storage is described.
Controls and extras
Height-adjustable desk (up to 11.8 in of adjustment), heart-rate handle, app.

Strengths

  • 0–9% automatic incline

How to Choose a Foldable Walking Pad

Measure the storage space first

Measure the length, width and clearance height of where it will actually live.

Compare folded dimensions

Not just the unfolded size. Folding can shorten a machine but make it taller.

Check machine weight

A folding machine isn't necessarily light: 51 lb to 87.5 lb among these picks.

Look for wheels

Wheels help roll a machine, but they don't make a heavy one easy to lift or tip.

Check the folding mechanism

Deck fold, frame fold and handrail-only fold save very different amounts of space.

Consider walking area

Compact storage can come with a smaller belt: 39.3 × 14.8 in (JK14F) up to 47.6 × 18.1 in (X21) here. Compare it with your own stride.

Check speed

The C2, Z1 and P1 top out around 4 mph; the X21 and Foldi 3S reach 7.5–7.6 mph.

Check incline

Only the Foldi 3S (automatic) and JK14F (manual) list incline here.

Check the maker's storage instructions

Especially before standing a machine on end.

Foldable Doesn't Automatically Mean Best for a Small Space

A machine can fold and still be heavy, wide, tall when folded, hard to move, or wrong for where you plan to keep it. The Foldi 3S folds yet keeps a 51.6 × 25.6 in footprint; the JK14F folds to 47.1 in tall. For space-first picks, see best walking pads for small spaces.

How We Compared Foldable Walking Pads

We re-checked each maker's current product page on October 1, 2026, and compared the folding mechanism, folded and unfolded dimensions, machine weight, walking area, wheels, the storage the maker describes, incline and handrail design. Where a maker doesn't publish something, we say "Not listed".

We do not claim hands-on testing unless Walking Counts actually performed it. How we review products.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best foldable walking pad?

It depends on where you'll store it, how much you can lift, and whether you need speed, incline or a handle. Among these six: the Z1 is the lightest (51 lb); the C2 the narrowest (20.4 in); the P1 the lowest folded (5 in); the X21 the only one its maker says can stand against a wall; the JK14F takes the least floor folded; and the Foldi 3S is the only one with automatic incline. We don't name a single winner.

Do walking pads fold in half?

Some do. WalkingPad's C2, Z1 and P1 decks fold in half. Others don't fold at all, or fold only their handrail, which doesn't shorten the deck.

What is the smallest foldable walking pad?

It depends on the measurement. Of these six: shortest folded length lying flat — Z1 (31.8 in); narrowest — C2 (20.4 in); lowest folded height — P1 (5 in); smallest folded floor area — JK14F (21.7 × 22.8 in, but 47.1 in tall). No single model wins every measurement.

Can you store a foldable walking pad upright?

Only if the maker allows it. WalkingPad says the X21 can stand vertically against a wall. The other picks' makers don't describe upright storage, so we don't recommend it for them.

Can you store a walking pad under a bed?

WalkingPad describes under-bed storage for the Z1, C2, P1 and X21. Measure the clearance and compare it with the folded height: 5 in (P1), 5.4 in (Z1, C2) or 8.8 in (X21).

Are foldable walking pads good for small apartments?

They can be, if the folded size fits where you'll store it and you can move the machine there. We don't make claims about noise or neighbours. See our small spaces guide and what makers say in our quiet walking pads guide.

Are foldable walking pads heavy?

Some are. Published weights here: Z1 51 lb, C2 55 lb, P1 62 lb, X21 81 lb (an FAQ on WalkingPad's page says 84 lb), Foldi 3S 87.5 lb. Redliro doesn't list the JK14F's weight.

Do foldable walking pads have incline?

Some do. Here, the Foldi 3S has 0–9% automatic incline and the JK14F 0–2% manual. WalkingPad says the X21 has none, and lists none for the C2, Z1 or P1. See walking pads with incline.

Do foldable walking pads have handles?

Some do. The X21, JK14F and Foldi 3S have handles; the C2, Z1 and P1 don't. A folding handle on a non-folding deck isn't the same as a deck that folds.

Is a folding walking pad the same as a folding treadmill?

The terms overlap and there's no fixed definition. Makers use both for thin deck-folding pads like the C2 and for fuller machines with handrails and higher speeds like the X21 and Foldi 3S.

Does the WalkingPad C2 fold?

Yes. Its deck folds, taking it from 56.9 in to 32.5 in long; WalkingPad says it stores under a bed or sofa.

Does the WalkingPad Z1 fold?

Yes. WalkingPad says to fold it in half; it goes from 56.1 in to 31.8 in long and from 4.1 in to 5.4 in tall.

Does the WalkingPad P1 fold?

Yes. Its deck folds 180° in half, from 56.5 in to 32.5 in long, and stays 5 in tall.

Does the WalkingPad X21 fold?

Yes. WalkingPad calls it a double-fold treadmill that folds "in two simple moves", from 41.4 in to 8.8 in tall. It can be stored flat or against a wall, per WalkingPad.
