The WalkingPad P1 is WalkingPad's classic folding walking pad: a 0.3–3.75 mph speed range, a 47 × 16.5-inch walking area, a 220-lb maximum user weight and a 62-lb machine weight, with FootSense and a handheld remote.

Walking Counts evaluated it using WalkingPad's current published specifications. This is a research-based review and does not imply physical testing. To see the whole lineup side by side, compare all WalkingPad models.

Classic Folding WalkingPad

WalkingPad P1: The Short Answer

Within WalkingPad's lineup, the P1 pairs the wider 16.5-inch walking area (shared with the A1 Pro) and FootSense with the lowest starting speed of the compact models, 0.3 mph. It folds in half to 32.5 × 21.5 × 5 inches.

Its tradeoffs are clear from the numbers: a 220-lb capacity, a 3.75 mph maximum, no listed incline, and a brush motor where the C2, Z1 and A1 Pro list brushless motors.

  • Speed: 0.3–3.75 mph

What Is the WalkingPad P1?

WalkingPad sells the P1 in its "Foldable Classic" series. It's a low-profile walking pad with no handle that folds in half for storage — the format WalkingPad says it invented. WalkingPad positions it for steady indoor walking and light cardio, such as walking during the workday or while watching TV.

It's not a running machine. For running speeds within the brand, the WalkingPad X21 is a different category of treadmill.

How the WalkingPad P1 Folding Design Works

The deck folds 180° in half. WalkingPad lists it at 56.5 × 21.5 × 5 inches unfolded and 32.5 × 21.5 × 5 inches folded, so the folded footprint is about 32.5 × 21.5 inches and the height stays at 5 inches.

WalkingPad describes storing it under a bed or couch. WalkingPad's current P1 information does not clearly recommend upright storage, so we would follow the manufacturer's storage instructions rather than assume it can be stood vertically.

Walking Area and Belt Size

The walking area is 47 × 16.5 inches (1200 × 415 mm). That width matches the A1 Pro and is wider than the C2 (15.7 in) and Z1 (15.7 in); the length is within an inch of both. Compare it with your own stride and how much side-to-side room you like.

WalkingPad P1 Speed Range

The P1 runs from 0.3 to 3.75 mph (0.5–6 km/h). 3.75 mph is a brisk walk for many people. It's a walking-only machine — WalkingPad describes the range as designed for steady indoor walking and light cardio.

Motor

WalkingPad lists a brush motor with a 746 W power input. It doesn't publish a horsepower figure for the P1, so we don't convert one. Motor figures alone don't prove durability, quality or lifespan.

WalkingPad P1 Weight Limit

The maximum user weight is 220 lb (100 kg). That's the person on the belt — not the machine's own weight, which is covered next.

How Much Does the WalkingPad P1 Weigh?

WalkingPad lists a 62-lb (28 kg) net weight and a 68-lb shipping weight. That's heavier than the Z1 (51 lb) and C2 (55 lb) and about the same as the A1 Pro (63 lb). WalkingPad says it has transport wheels for repositioning; 62 lb is still a real lift if you need to carry it.

How Do You Control the P1?

WalkingPad lists these control features for the P1:

  • FootSense: walk toward the front to speed up, move back to slow down.
  • Handheld remote: included, with a lanyard; it also shows steps, calories, distance and time.
  • KS Fit app: listed as an additional option (see below).

There's no screen on the machine itself — WalkingPad lists "no screen display" for the panel.

Does the WalkingPad P1 Work With the KS Fit App?

Yes. WalkingPad's current P1 page lists KS Fit and describes a free KS Fit app for logging every mile and seeing performance insights. It doesn't spell out which app functions apply specifically to the P1, so we don't assume it matches the C2 or A1 Pro feature for feature.

Can You Use the WalkingPad P1 Under a Standing Desk?

On paper it fits the format: no upright handle, a 5-inch height, walking-only speeds, remote control and a 21.5-inch overall width. WalkingPad mentions placing it under a desk.

We can't guarantee it fits every desk. Measure your desk's height range (remembering you'll stand about 5 inches higher) and the floor space under and around it. See our best under-desk walking pads guide for alternatives.

Does the WalkingPad P1 Have Incline?

WalkingPad does not list an incline function in the current P1 specifications. If incline matters to you, see our best walking pads with incline.

WalkingPad does not list an incline function in the current P1 specifications.

Does the WalkingPad P1 work with the KS Fit app?
