The WalkingPad A1 Pro is a folding under-desk treadmill. Within WalkingPad's compact lineup it stands out for its current U.S. 300-lb manufacturer-stated capacity, 16.5-inch-wide walking area and 3.75 HP brushless motor.
Walking Counts evaluated it using current WalkingPad/KingSmith manufacturer specifications. This is a research-based review and does not imply physical testing. To see every model side by side, compare all WalkingPad models.
WalkingPad A1 Pro: The Short Answer
The current U.S. WalkingPad A1 Pro combines a 300-lb manufacturer-stated user capacity with a 47 × 16.5-inch walking area, 3.75 HP brushless motor, FootSense, KS Fit connectivity and WalkingPad's folding deck.
Compared with the C2, the A1 Pro is heavier and has a slightly lower maximum speed, but it provides a wider walking area and substantially higher current U.S. weight capacity. Compared with the Z1, it is also heavier but provides a wider walking area and higher published capacity.
Best for: someone who wants WalkingPad's compact folding format but needs more manufacturer-stated capacity than the C2 or Z1 provides.
Not ideal for: someone prioritizing minimum machine weight, automatic incline or conventional running speeds.

Does the WalkingPad A1 Pro Really Support 300 lb?
WalkingPad's current U.S. product page markets the A1 Pro with a maximum user weight of 300 lb, and that's the figure this review uses.
The same page's technical table also lists the weight capacity as "available options": 230 lb and 300 lb. You may also see different figures on older pages, regional listings or retailer listings. We don't assume that every A1 Pro unit — older, international or otherwise — carries the 300-lb rating.
Before buying, check that the exact listing and its documentation state 300 lb for the unit you're getting. Throughout this page, 300 lb refers to the current U.S. configuration.
WalkingPad A1 Pro Pros and Cons
Pros
- 300-lb current U.S. manufacturer-stated capacity
- 47 × 16.5-inch walking area
- 3.75 HP brushless motor
- Folding deck
- FootSense
- KS Fit support
- Handheld remote
- Fully assembled
- Approximately 5-inch profile
Considerations
- 63-lb machine weight
- 3.75-mph maximum speed
- No incline listed in current specifications
- Heavier than the C2 and Z1
- Capacity varies across versions and listings — verify the exact configuration
How Small Does the A1 Pro Fold?
Unfolded: 56.5 × 21.5 × 5 in. Folded: 32.5 × 21.5 × 5 in.
Folding cuts the storage length from 56.5 in to 32.5 in — about 42% shorter — while the width and height stay the same.
Whether it slides under a bed, sofa or cabinet depends on your actual clearance, so measure first; we can't guarantee a fit. We don't recommend standing it upright unless WalkingPad's current manual explicitly allows it.
Is the WalkingPad A1 Pro an Under-Desk Treadmill?
Its design fits the under-desk category:
- No permanent upright console or frame
- Approximately 5-inch machine height
- Walking-focused 0.5–3.75 mph speed range
- Remote, app and FootSense control
- Foldable format
Whether it works with your standing desk depends on the desk's adjustment range, your height, your footwear, the treadmill's height and your floor space. See our best under-desk walking pads for alternatives.
A1 Pro Walking Area: 47 × 16.5 Inches
| Model | Walking area |
|---|---|
| A1 Pro | 47 × 16.5 in |
| C2 | 47.2 × 15.7 in |
| Z1 | 47.6 × 15.7 in |
The A1 Pro has the widest published walking area of these three models; the C2 and Z1 are marginally longer. These are small differences, and we can't say any of them suits every height or stride length.
How Fast Does the WalkingPad A1 Pro Go?
Minimum 0.5 mph, maximum 3.75 mph — clearly walking-focused.
| Model | Max speed |
|---|---|
| A1 Pro | 3.75 mph |
| C2 | 4 mph |
| Z1 | 4 mph |
| X21 | 7.5 mph |
For substantially higher speeds, the WalkingPad X21 serves a different use case. See walking pad vs treadmill.
A1 Pro 3.75 HP Brushless Motor
WalkingPad currently specifies a 3.75 HP brushless motor for the A1 Pro.
| Model | Motor |
|---|---|
| A1 Pro | 3.75 HP brushless |
| C2 | 3 HP brushless |
| Z1 | 2.25 HP brushless |
Horsepower and motor type alone don't tell you about durability, noise, reliability or lifespan, so we don't draw those conclusions.
How Heavy Is the WalkingPad A1 Pro?
| Model | Machine weight |
|---|---|
| Z1 | 51 lb |
| C2 | 55 lb |
| A1 Pro | 63 lb |
| X21 | 81 lb |
At 63 lb, the A1 Pro is 8 lb heavier than the C2, 12 lb heavier than the Z1 and 18 lb lighter than the X21. WalkingPad says it has integrated wheels for moving it. Whether that weight feels manageable depends on you and your space.
Does the A1 Pro Have FootSense?
Yes. WalkingPad's A1 Pro page says FootSense sensors "respond to your position on the belt, speeding up or slowing down automatically." The page doesn't describe specific zones, so check the A1 Pro manual for exact behavior.
The A1 Pro also includes a handheld remote and KS Fit app control.
WalkingPad A1 Pro and the KS Fit App
WalkingPad lists KS Fit compatibility for the A1 Pro and names the app as a speed-adjustment method. The A1 Pro page says the app lets you track workouts and follow training programs that adjust speed automatically, and its spec table notes Apple Watch pairing through the KS Fit app on an iPhone.
Available functions can vary by app version and model, so check the current app listing for anything specific you need.
