The WalkingPad C2 is a compact folding walking treadmill designed around under-desk walking and easy storage. What sets it apart is WalkingPad's folding deck, FootSense speed control, a 4 mph top speed, a 55-lb machine weight, KS Fit app support and compact 32.5 × 20.4 × 5.4 in folded dimensions.

Walking Counts evaluated the C2 using current WalkingPad/KingSmith manufacturer specifications and product information. For every model side by side, compare all WalkingPad models.

Best for FootSense + Compact Folding

WalkingPad C2: The Short Answer

The WalkingPad C2 combines a 1–4 mph speed range with a folding 47.2 × 15.7-inch walking surface, FootSense controls, KS Fit support and a relatively compact 32.5 × 20.4 × 5.4-inch folded footprint.

Its biggest advantages over many basic walking pads are the foldable deck and multiple control options.

The main limitation is its 220-lb manufacturer-stated capacity, particularly compared with WalkingPad models such as the Z1 at 242 lb and the current U.S. A1 Pro at 300 lb.

Best for: people who want a foldable under-desk walking pad with FootSense, app and remote controls.

Not ideal for: someone who needs a higher manufacturer-stated weight capacity, significant incline or conventional treadmill running speeds.

WalkingPad C2 Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Folds to roughly half its full length (see dimensions below)
  • 55-lb machine weight
  • FootSense speed control
  • Handheld remote included
  • KS Fit app support
  • Up to 4 mph
  • Fully assembled
  • Compact folded dimensions

Considerations

  • 220-lb maximum user weight
  • 15.7-inch walking-area width
  • No incline listed in current specifications
  • Maximum speed is walking-focused, not comparable to a conventional running treadmill

How Small Does the WalkingPad C2 Fold?

Unfolded, the C2 measures 56.9 × 20.4 × 4.9 in. Folded, it measures 32.5 × 20.4 × 5.4 in.

The width stays the same, but the folding deck cuts the storage length from 56.9 in to 32.5 in — about 43% shorter — while adding only half an inch of height.

That 5.4-in folded height is what decides whether it can slide under furniture. We can't guarantee it will fit under any particular bed, sofa or cabinet, so measure your available clearance first. We don't recommend standing it upright unless WalkingPad's own instructions say that's allowed.

Is the WalkingPad C2 Good for Under a Standing Desk?

Several of its specifications are relevant to desk walking:

  • 4.9-in unfolded machine height
  • 1–4 mph speed range
  • No permanent upright frame
  • Handheld remote, FootSense and app control
  • Compact format

Whether it works for you depends on your standing desk's height range, your own height, your footwear, the machine's height and the floor space you have. See our best under-desk walking pads for alternatives.

How Does WalkingPad C2 FootSense Work?

WalkingPad lists FootSense as one of the C2's three speed-adjustment methods. The manufacturer describes it simply: "step forward to go faster, step back to slow down." In other words, where you walk on the belt influences the speed.

Some descriptions of FootSense talk about separate front, middle and rear zones (speed up, hold, slow down). The current C2 product page only confirms the forward-faster, back-slower behavior, so we don't describe a dedicated constant-speed zone here. Check the C2 manual for exact behavior.

If you'd rather not use FootSense, the C2 can also be controlled with the handheld remote or the KS Fit app.

What Can You Control With the KS Fit App?

WalkingPad lists KS Fit support for the C2 and names the app as a speed-adjustment method. On the C2 page, WalkingPad says the app lets you log walks, view AI-powered insights and follow training programs that automatically adjust speed. The spec table also says KS Fit can pair with an Apple Watch via your iPhone.

WalkingPad separately mentions Bluetooth pairing with apps such as Kinomap, noting that the Kinomap experience shown requires a paid membership. App features can change between versions, so check the current app listing before relying on a specific function.

How Fast Does the WalkingPad C2 Go?

The C2 runs from a minimum of 1 mph to a maximum of 4 mph, which places it in the walking-focused category.

ModelMax speed
C24 mph
Z14 mph
A1 Pro3.75 mph
X217.5 mph

The WalkingPad X21 is a substantially different machine aimed at faster workouts. For the bigger picture, read walking pad vs treadmill.

Is the C2 Walking Area Large Enough?

WalkingPad lists a 47.2 × 15.7 in walking area. Compare that actual measurement with other models rather than relying on labels like "spacious" or "compact." We can't say it suits every height, stride length or body type.

ModelWalking area
C247.2 × 15.7 in
Z147.6 × 15.7 in
A1 Pro47 × 16.5 in

WalkingPad C2 Weight Limit

WalkingPad currently lists a maximum user weight of 220 lb.

ModelMax user weight
C2220 lb
Z1242 lb
A1 Pro300 lb (current U.S. configuration)
X21240 lb (dedicated technical page)

If you're approaching or above a manufacturer's stated maximum, choose a machine with an appropriate published capacity.

How Heavy Is the WalkingPad C2?

The C2 weighs 55 lb.

ModelMachine weight
C255 lb
Z151 lb
A1 Pro63 lb
X2181 lb

Among these confirmed weights, the C2 sits between the Z1 and the A1 Pro. It has transport wheels for moving it around; whether 55 lb feels manageable depends on you and where you'll store it.

Choose the C2 when FootSense is an important feature.

Choose the Z1 when lower machine weight and the higher 242-lb capacity matter more.

WalkingPad C2 vs A1 Pro

WalkingPad C2

  • 1–4 mph
  • 47.2 × 15.7 in
  • 220 lb
  • 55 lb
  • 3 HP brushless
  • FootSense
  • KS Fit app
  • Remote

WalkingPad A1 Pro

  • 0.5–3.75 mph
  • 47 × 16.5 in
  • 300 lb (current U.S. configuration)
  • 63 lb
  • 3.75 HP brushless
  • FootSense
  • KS Fit app
  • Remote

The C2 is 8 lb lighter and has a slightly higher published maximum speed.

The A1 Pro has a wider walking surface and a substantially higher manufacturer-stated capacity in its current U.S. configuration.

Neither is a universal winner.

WalkingPad C2 vs a Basic Non-Folding Walking Pad

Compared with a basic fixed-deck walking pad, the C2's main differences are its folding deck, FootSense, KS Fit support, handheld remote and published folded dimensions.

The tradeoff: the folding mechanism and brand-specific controls may not matter to someone who simply wants a straightforward fixed-deck walking pad and has room to store it flat.

Who Is the WalkingPad C2 Best For?

Potential fit

  • Standing-desk users
  • People with limited storage length
  • Users who specifically want FootSense
  • Users who want multiple control methods
  • Users whose needs fit within 220 lb and 4 mph

Probably not the right format if

  • You need more than 220-lb manufacturer capacity
  • You need automatic incline
  • You need substantially higher speeds
  • You specifically want upright treadmill handles
