DeerRun X20 Review

Last updated: October 2026

The DeerRun X20 is not a walking pad. DeerRun positions it as a full-size foldable home treadmill for running, incline training, jogging and walking, with a 0.6–11.3 mph speed range, a 15% automatic incline and a 400 lb maximum user weight. We cover it for readers weighing a larger treadmill against the walking pads we usually review.

This is a research-based review built from DeerRun's published specifications and manufacturer information. We have not physically tested the X20.

Full-Size Treadmill

Quick Verdict

On DeerRun's published figures, the X20 is for someone who wants running speeds and steep automatic incline at home, and who has room for a full-size machine. It lists up to 11.3 mph, a 0–15% automatic incline, a 400 lb maximum user weight and a running belt of about 51.2 × 17.7 in (DeerRun UK listing).

The trade-offs: at 87.83 lb and 53.94 × 30.43 × 42.83 in expanded, it's much bigger and heavier than a walking pad, it isn't an under-desk machine, and DeerRun doesn't publish motor horsepower or noise test conditions.

What Is the DeerRun X20?

DeerRun describes the X20 as a foldable treadmill for serious home running, incline training, jogging and walking. That puts it in a different category from the low-profile walking pads that make up most of Walking Counts, and from DeerRun's own compact models such as the Z20. See DeerRun's full range on our DeerRun models page, and our walking pad vs treadmill comparison for how the two formats differ.

11.3 MPH Maximum Speed

DeerRun lists a speed range of 0.6–11.3 mph. That covers walking, jogging and running speeds, which is the main reason the X20 is a treadmill rather than a walking pad — most walking pads on this site top out around 3.8–4 mph.

15% Automatic Incline

DeerRun lists a 15% automatic incline. DeerRun's UK FAQ specifies 0–15% across 15 automatic incline levels. DeerRun doesn't describe it as manual. For comparison, the Z10 Pro uses a separate 12% automatic system with 12 levels. Browse more incline options in our best walking pads with incline guide.

Running Deck and Belt Size

DeerRun's UK listing publishes a 130 × 45 cm running belt, approximately 51.2 × 17.7 in. We haven't seen a separate belt figure on DeerRun's US listing, so we use the UK measurement and label it as such. DeerRun publishes no height or stride guidance, so we don't say who the belt fits.

Overall Dimensions

DeerRun's US listing gives an expanded size of 53.94 × 30.43 × 42.83 in. Measure the space you plan to use, including room around the machine, before buying.

Machine Weight

DeerRun lists the X20 at 87.83 lb. That's considerably heavier than the walking pads we cover, which matters if you plan to move it or stand it up for storage.

400 lb Maximum User Weight

DeerRun lists a 400 lb maximum user weight. See our walking pads with 300 lb+ capacity guide if you'd rather have a walking pad with a high listed limit.

Folding Design

DeerRun's UK listing gives a folded size of 137 × 77.3 × 18.6 cm, approximately 53.9 × 30.4 × 7.3 in. DeerRun's US page separately says the X20 folds to 7.32 inches thin, so the US and UK information agree closely on the folded height. Folding makes it flat rather than short: the folded length is close to the expanded length. See our best foldable walking pads guide for how different folding designs compare.

Storage and Transport Wheels

DeerRun explicitly describes storing the X20 under a sofa, in a closet, or upright against a wall, and moving it on built-in front transport wheels. Whether it fits under your own furniture depends on that furniture's clearance and the folded dimensions above.

Touch-Control LED Display

DeerRun lists a touch-control LED screen (an "LED Touch Panel"). The information we used doesn't describe a remote control or physical console buttons, so we don't claim either.

PitPat App

DeerRun lists PitPat app connectivity. DeerRun advertises real-time workout data, structured or guided training, 3D virtual races, challenges, social and community features, and rewards. These are DeerRun's and PitPat's features and marketing claims; Walking Counts hasn't tested or evaluated them.

Motor and Noise Claims

DeerRun describes the X20 as using a brushless motor. Horsepower isn't listed in the information we used.

DeerRun's UK listing claims a noise level of ≤45 dB, but it doesn't publish the test conditions, so we don't use that figure to predict how loud the X20 will be in a particular home.

Setup and Assembly

DeerRun's UK FAQ says basic setup is required, that the X20 arrives 90% pre-assembled, and that tools and instructions are included.

Safety Lock

DeerRun includes a Safety Lock with the X20. The information we used doesn't describe how it works or any other safety features, so we don't add details beyond that.

What's Included

DeerRun's US listing lists these box contents:

  • Main treadmill
  • Phone/tablet stand
  • Safety Lock
  • 5.9 ft power cord
  • Oil
  • L-type 6 mm hex socket
  • Two cylindrical bolts
  • Manual
  • Quick & Easy Guide card

Package size: 58.62 × 32.48 × 7.95 in.

How the X20 Compares

The X20 is a full-size running treadmill; the Z10 Pro is a more compact walk/run design. The X20 lists 15% automatic incline against the Z10 Pro's 12%, a higher top speed, and a 400 lb limit against 300 lb. Read our DeerRun Z10 Pro review.

“(see notes)” on the DeerRun Z10 Pro: DeerRun's 2027 spec block lists a 41.34 × 15.75 in walking area and 72.5 lb, while the comparison table on the same product page lists 43 × 16 in and 73.48 lb. DeerRun doesn't explain which should take precedence.

DeerRun publishes both sets of figures on the same Z10 Pro product page and doesn't explain which should take precedence. One section is headed “2027 DeerRun Z10 Pro – Redesigned for More Confident Movement”, while another part of the page uses “2025 New Grade” wording; that doesn't tell us which figures are current.

The A6 Plus is a walking/running crossover whose top speed rises to about 7.5 mph when the handrail is raised; the X20 is a full-size treadmill reaching 11.3 mph with automatic rather than manual incline. Read our DeerRun A6 Plus review.

DeerRun's regional pages publish conflicting A6 Plus figures: the US page lists 54.54 lb and 53.27 × 21.77 × 45.79 in, while DeerRun UK lists 28.94 kg (about 63.8 lb), a handrail-up size of about 49.4 × 21.8 × 45.8 in and a folded size of about 53.3 × 21.8 × 4.9 in. We show both rather than choosing one.

Who It May Suit

  • People who want running speeds (up to 11.3 mph) at home
  • People who want steep automatic incline (0–15%)

  • Homes with room for a full-size treadmill, plus a place to store it folded

Who May Want Something Else

  • Under-desk walkers: see our under-desk guide.
  • Anyone who wants a handle on a compact pad: see our walking pads with handles guide.
  • People short on space or who'll move it often: a compact walking pad such as the Z20 is lighter and smaller.

Claims We Don't Repeat as Fact

DeerRun's marketing includes claims that are manufacturer promotion rather than independent findings. We don't repeat these as fact: calorie- or fat-burning improvements, stronger glutes or legs, reduced joint impact, "no wobble", commercial-grade build, that it won't disturb other people, that it suits every flat or apartment, durability or lifespan, other health claims, "silent motor" wording, and PitPat cash or rewards as guaranteed benefits.

How We Evaluated It

We compiled this review from DeerRun's US and UK product listings and FAQs, and compared it with figures already published on Walking Counts. We have not physically tested the X20 and haven't independently verified DeerRun's specifications. Read more about how we review products.
