DeerRun X50 Review
Last updated: October 2026
The DeerRun X50 is a full-size performance/home treadmill, not a walking pad or under-desk treadmill. DeerRun lists an 18% automatic incline, a 0.6–12.5 mph speed range, a 400 lb maximum user weight and a 4.0 HP motor.
This is a research-based review built from DeerRun's published specifications. We have not physically tested the X50.

Quick Verdict
On DeerRun's published figures, the X50 combines an 18% automatic incline, a 12.5 mph top speed, a 400 lb maximum user weight and a 4.0 HP motor. DeerRun publishes its machine weight and expanded size, lists a large digital display, built-in speakers and PitPat support, and describes a pneumatic-assisted standing fold for upright storage.
The gaps matter: DeerRun doesn't publish the running-area dimensions, the number of incline levels, a remote, power requirements or the test conditions behind its noise figure. At 158.51 lb, it's also a heavy machine to place and move.

What Is the DeerRun X50?
The X50 is a full-size DeerRun treadmill aimed at running and incline training at home. See DeerRun's range on our DeerRun models page.
Is It a Walking Pad or a Treadmill?
A treadmill. With a 12.5 mph top speed, an 18% automatic incline and an expanded size of 74.72 × 32.72 × 53.7 in, it isn't a walking pad, a compact walking pad or an under-desk treadmill. Our walking pad vs treadmill comparison explains how the two formats differ.
18% Automatic Incline
DeerRun lists an 18% automatic incline. It doesn't publish how quickly the incline changes. For context, the X20 lists 0–15% automatic and the Apex Rise 1 lists 0–25% automatic. For other incline options, see our best walking pads with incline guide.
Incline Levels — Not Listed
DeerRun doesn't publish the number of incline levels or the size of each step in the information we used, so we don't state either.
Speed: 0.6–12.5 MPH
DeerRun lists a 0.6–12.5 mph speed range, which covers walking, jogging and running speeds. That puts it in running-treadmill territory rather than walking-pad territory; we don't make performance claims beyond the published range.
400 lb Maximum User Weight
DeerRun lists a 400 lb maximum user weight. This is the user limit, separate from the machine's own 158.51 lb weight. A higher rating doesn't by itself prove a stronger or safer frame. For walking pads with high listed limits, see our walking pads with 300 lb+ capacity guide.
4.0 HP Motor
DeerRun explicitly lists a 4.0 HP motor. Elsewhere in its marketing copy, DeerRun describes the motor as brushless; we treat that as DeerRun's description rather than a separately verified spec. DeerRun doesn't publish a continuous-duty horsepower rating in the information we used.
Running Area — Dimensions Not Listed
DeerRun describes the running area as spacious but doesn't publish its dimensions in the information we used. We don't estimate the belt size from the overall dimensions, photos, marketing images or other DeerRun treadmills. DeerRun also publishes no user-height guidance.
Overall Dimensions
DeerRun lists an expanded size of 74.72 × 32.72 × 53.7 in. Measure the space you plan to use, including room around the machine, before buying. DeerRun doesn't publish folded dimensions in the information we used.
158.51 lb Machine Weight
DeerRun lists a machine weight of 158.51 lb. That's the treadmill itself, not the 400 lb user limit. It's a heavy machine to deliver, place and reposition, so plan for help when moving it.
Standing-Fold Design
DeerRun describes the X50 as using a pneumatic-assisted standing-fold system that allows it to be stored upright. DeerRun says hydraulic/pneumatic assistance supports the lifting process. We don't claim the running deck folds in half. See our best foldable walking pads guide for folding walking-pad designs.
Upright Storage
DeerRun explicitly describes the X50 folding into an upright position for storage. We don't claim it fits under a bed or sofa, and DeerRun doesn't publish folded dimensions in the information we used.
Digital Display
DeerRun lists a large digital display showing speed, time, distance and calories. We don't call it a touchscreen, and DeerRun doesn't publish screen size, resolution, Wi-Fi or streaming-app support in the information we used.
Rotary Speed Control
DeerRun lists a rotary/flywheel-style dial for adjusting speed. A remote control isn't listed.
Built-In Speakers
DeerRun lists built-in speakers. It doesn't publish speaker output or connection details in the information we used.
PitPat App
DeerRun confirms PitPat compatibility. PitPat is the app DeerRun uses across its range, including the X20 and the Apex models.
AI Coach Features
DeerRun promotes PitPat features including personalized and AI-powered training plans, health and fitness reports, heart-rate-based training insights, interactive 3D running, global running competitions, community features, leaderboards and rewards, Apple Health and third-party syncing, and anti-cheat functionality. These are DeerRun's and PitPat's promotional claims. Walking Counts hasn't tested the AI Coach and doesn't vouch for its effectiveness.
Noise and DeerRun's Under-45 dB Claim
DeerRun claims the X50 operates at under 45 dB, but the product page doesn't provide the test conditions needed to independently interpret or compare that figure. We can't say how loud it will be in your home.
Safety Information
A Safety Lock or safety key isn't listed in the information we used, and DeerRun doesn't describe other safety features there. We don't add details beyond that; check with DeerRun before buying.
How the X50 Compares

DeerRun Claims We Don't Repeat as Established Facts
DeerRun's and PitPat's marketing includes claims we don't present as fact: burning up to 3× more calories, a "safer run", reduced vibration meaning better safety, "whisper-quiet" or silent operation, not disturbing household members or neighbours, AI training and heart-rate coaching effectiveness, "elite" training, health benefits from incline, and the idea that a 400 lb rating automatically proves a stronger or safer frame.
How Walking Counts Evaluated the X50
Walking Counts evaluated the X50 using DeerRun's published specifications and comparisons with other models documented on this site. We have not personally tested the treadmill and haven't independently verified DeerRun's figures. Read more about how we review products.
